Pastor Nathan Sager
The Senior Pastor of our congregation is Pastor Nathan Sager. He has served in this position since August 1, 1996. Before coming to Gethsemane, Pastor Nathan served congregations in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for 11 years.
Ministries - Pastor Nathan has the spiritual gifts of preaching, teaching, and administration, and that is evident in the work that he does in our congregation. He is our primary preacher and worship leader. He teaches classes and Bible Studies for all ages of people. He supervises the church staff and organizes our congregation to be as efficient and effective as possible. Pastor Nathan serves the wider Church as the Dean of the Laurentian Conference and as Manager of the Youth Servant Corps for the National Youth Gatherings. Pastor Nathan serves the community by teaching classes in ethics and religion at Mesabi Range Community College, working as a volunteer police chaplain for the Virginia Police Department and the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, and through service projects of the Virginia Rotary Club.

Family - Pastor Nathan is married to RitaRae, with whom he has been married for 23 years. They have three children: Noah (second year of college), Hannah (12th grader), and Isaac (8th grader). Family pets include: Tig (3 yr old Siberian Husky), 2 finches, and 3 fish. For recreation, Pastor Nathan likes to golf, curl, read, accomplish home improvement projects, travel, and cheer on the Vikings, Twins, and Wolves.
