Meet our Office Manager: Wendy Krause
Wendy Krause has served as the Office Manager of our congregation since 1997.
Wendy is primarily responsible for: receiving guests, processing mail, preparing the worship bulletins, preparing the monthly newsletters, preparing the annual report, publicizing church activities, maintaining church records and files, assisting the financial secretary in recording offerings, assisting the treasurer in payment of expenses, overseeing the office, and scheduling events.
Wendy is married to Tom Krause who works for the Virginia Police Department. They have four grown children, one dog and one cat. Wendy enjoys spending time at the family lake cabin, reading, antiquing, and hunting for good rummage sales.

In a recent newsletter, Pastor Darin wrote these thoughts regarding Wendy's ministry as Gethsemane's office manager:
Her vocation as Christian worker is to assist in managing the daily affairs of the church office and staff. Put rather mildly, without her we would be a real bad situation! Wendy provides not just the knowledge and guidance necessary as secretary; her skills as office manager truly keep our heads on straight! Church registries, bulletins, newsletters, calendar coordination, equipment manager and coffee preparation are just some of the ways she keeps the Gethsemane ship afloat.
Wendy, however, is still more than an office manager; she is truly a fellow minister in the Body of Christ. Wendy in many ways is the first minister people meet when they come to the office or when taking their phone calls. I am impressed and thankful when I notice the ways is which Wendy offers true care in the name of Christ to people who need to talk.
We understand that our calling as Christians is to serve as God's hands in the world. Wendy reaches the lives of many and bears forth the forgiveness and the hope of Jesus Christ, the good news we all endeavor to share! May God continue to bless you Wendy as you serve to be a blessing to others.
