Budget Blooms

Budget Blooms - what is it?

Gethsemane Lutheran is in a budget crunch. We have daily expenses that need to be covered and that's where you come in. We will have "Budget Blooms" located in the front lobby (narthex) of the church. You will find blooms hanging from a tree with various things written on them like, "a month of stamps" or "Toddler Bibles". There are a variety of price ranges to choose from and they may be purchases by individuals or by groups, circles, families, etc.

How do I pay for a bloom? Whenever you "pick" a bloom from the tree, you may write a check or submit money to the church office, or else drop the bloom and payment into the offering plate during worship services. Make sure your name (or write "anonymous" if you like) is attached so that the office can record your gift on your quarterly giving statements.

Special gifts are given to Gethsemane to remember your loved ones. It is through special gifts that we are able to supplement our current programs with excellent resources and provide new opportunities for ministry. Listed below are some suggestions if you wish to remember your loved one in a special way. A booklet is also available on the Narthex table with more suggestions.

How to Give

Gifts to Gethsemane Lutheran Church can be dropped off at the office or else mailed to the office at:

901 4th Street South, Virginia, MN 55792

Please indicated how you would like to designation your gift (e.g. in memory of..., for window project, for youth)

Member monetary gifts will be credited to their quarterly giving statements to aid in tax preparation.

Direct Debit Giving

Here is an electronic option for your regular offerings! Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account. Our electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.
If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.
