**UPDATE Spring 2020** Due to COVID-19 precautions, we are currently not worshiping in-person inside our church building. Please join live-streamed worship online through Facebook HERE and check back periodically for more updates on our evolving plans to begin in-person worship again in the future. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and patience.

Year round, we worship at 9:00 am in the sanctuary, with Coffee An’ fellowship time following.  Our worship style is a creative blend of a liturgical tradition and  contemporary music.   This is usually an hour-long service centered on the Lutheran tradition of Word and Sacrament.

During the school year, which begins on the Sunday following Labor Day, our usual schedule is:
 9:00 am     Worship Service
10:00 am   Sunday School and Coffee An’ Fellowship

Our Worship services have the following liturgical characteristics:

  • some of the music is led by the organ (Sue Swanson, organist)
  • we follow the liturgical flow of the service developed over centuries of Christian worship
  • traditional hymn of praise
  • Scripture readings:  Old Testament, Psalm, New Testament, and Gospel (as appointed in the Revised Common Lectionary)
  • Holy Communion and Holy Baptism (as needed)
  • a sermon
  • some hymns are selected from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship
  • often use the Apostles’ Creed or Nicene Creed

Our Worship services have the following contemporary characteristics:

  • music led by the piano (Sue Swanson, pianist), congas (Bill Bauman), and Joyful Noise (our contemporary singers)
  • contemporary songs from our gold Contemporary Song Book and the red Evangelical Lutheran Worship are sung
  • a Call to Worship based on the Psalm of the day
  • a contemporary Confession and Forgiveness
  • modernized confessions of faith
  • the sermon is preached outside of the pulpit
