Hello all! At the August Council Meeting, after going through reports on a number of things, we looked toward the fall and work to be done on some improvements and changes to the church property. 

     The sign in front of the church has been needing work for some time now. With some of the funds received from the sale of property a year or so ago, the council has   approved the installation of a new LED sign to go in the where the current lettering is in the existing sign. This will enable us to inform the community of happenings at   Gethsemane so we can better make folks aware of     worship times, special events, etc. 

     New carpeting is going into the chapel along with new chairs that will be purchased by the gift of a member’s family. Painting is being done on the Sunday School room and work is being done to create a new youth room. Plans to paint the Fellowship Hall and to put a new roof on the garage are also in the works. 

     What does this all mean? It means exciting times at Gethsemane! It also means we need your help! Even if you can only give a couple of hours of your time, your church needs you. 

 Watch for more planned workdays so we can get all of these things done. We hope to see you there! 

     Rally Sunday is September 12th. Also, on that day our various Ministry Teams will be celebrating what they do and you will have an opportunity to see what might interest you and ways to become involved. Hope to see you there!
