Greetings everyone! At the August council meeting we heard about the planning going on for the Rock The Block Picnic to be held on Wednesday, August 24. I hope you are (or were) able to attend and help out. We also discussed Rally Sunday which will be on September 11.

I hope you can make it as we kick off the Fall season, the beginning of Sunday School, Confirmation, and get back into full swing after the Summer.

Updating the church rolls is in the planning; this needs to be done regularly to keep our rolls current, so you may be contacted. All of you are needed to keep Gethsemane moving. I know how much that so many people do to keep up all aspects of our church. However, we need people to come forward in a number of areas. Eucharistic Ministers, caring callers, assisting ministers, auditing committee, and at the end of the year we will need people to serve on the church council to replace those going off. I ask you to look at these areas, find one that is important to you or one that you are called to and let us know where you would like to serve. These are all vital to our church, we need you to step up and keep Gethsemane going strong. Together we can make great things happen!
