Happy fall everyone! At this past month’s council meeting, we discussed the going ons of the various ministry teams, financial information, questions and what’s        happening in regard to church property upgrades and repairs, and other matters going on at Gethsemane.

We also discussed Covid. Who knew this would still be on all of our plates after so many months. People have been asking when things might “loosen up” at church. My answer is, “I don’t know.” I do know this—the council is  doing its best to follow the protocols that were set by our Smart Team in order to protect our congregation and   believe me, I know everyone doesn’t agree with them. I have trouble sometimes myself. But I step back and try to realize it isn’t just about me and my wants and wishes. So, I ask you to support the council’s decisions, after all, you elected us! I think our congregation is blessed in so many ways and with so many wonderful members.

Let’s stick together, keep our focus on Christ and we will come out stronger when this is over. I hope I didn’t ruffle too many feathers with this but just felt I needed to say it.

Love you Gethsemane!
