“I want you to know all about Christ’s love, although it is too wonderful to be measured. Then your lives will be filled with all that God is.” Ephesians 3:19

This July, I had the privilege to take 4 youth to the Synod Journey Youth Gathering for a 4-day/3-night whirlwind of fun and games, bible study, fellowship, and worship. Throughout the weekend we talked and sang and prayed all about how God’s love is BOUNDLESS. Through God’s invitation, creation, forgiveness, and promises, we know God’s love and presence.

As our youth, and I myself, walked through all these ways God’s love is boundless, I was struck that this concept connects so well to our Summer Sermon Series theme of all the different “pathways” we use to connect with God. God’s ways of connecting with us are so varied because God’s love for us is boundless. There is no one “right” way to reach out to God, to listen to God, to worship God, to receive God’s love.

I encourage you, if you haven’t already, to take or sign up for a copy of the book, “Sacred Pathways: Nine Ways to Connect with God” by Gary Thomas and follow along with reading for the rest of the summer. Learning about all the different ways that people connect with God may open you up to something you hadn’t considered before, or remind you of a beloved practice that you had set to the side that you might consider picking up again. It also may make you more compassionately aware of how others in our church or community are seeking and connecting with God.

Whatever way the Holy Spirit blesses you this summer, I hope that you remember that:
God’s Invitation is BOUNDLESS
God’s Creation is BOUNDLESS
God’s Forgiveness is BOUNDLESS
God’s Promise is BOUNDLESS.
God’s Love is BOUNDLESS.
Amen
