Hello all! Remember last winter when we were complaining about how cold it was? Anyway, the council held its monthly meeting on the 12th of July and went through the goings on at Gethsemane. Ministry team information was shared along with financial reports and old and new business. The main doors entering the Narthex from the south were discussed as during heavy rains water gets in and flows toward the lift. Not exactly ideal! Possible replacement of the doors was discussed and more information will be sought. I’m guessing these are probably the original doors from when the church was built in 1957!

We continue to look for a youth representative on the council and people to serve on the Audit Committee. The Audit Committee goes over the various accounts here at Gethsemane for the annual report each year. If you think this is something you would have a talent for, please let us know. We will be going through an update of the church rolls soon, so you may hear from someone regarding your status. Thanks to all of our outstanding council members and to all of our members that do so much to make Gethsemane a great place to worship and are a blessing to our community.

Peace and Grace, Bennet
